Lecturers and coordinators
Depending on your chosen course you will be assigned either a dedicated lecturer or a coordinator. These academic advisors are available to offer their support during office hours. They possess extensive subject knowledge and can offer valuable advice on how to fully immerse yourself in the learning material for a more effective learning experience. We encourage students to actively engage in their studies, and our lecturers and coordinators are there to provide optimal instruction and guidance every step of the way.
Exam booking assistance
Depending on the course you are registered for, you will either receive guidance on how to book your exam yourself or, in some cases, our exam team will assist with the booking process. We will advise you on available venues, help secure a seat, and provide confirmation of the date, time, and exam logistics.
Please note that College SA provides discounted exam vouchers for CompTIA exams. For other external exams, we can offer advice, but you will need to book and manage these independently
Orientation session
The orientation experience will set you up for academic success and assist you in your transition to distance and digital learning at College SA. You will receive an invitation to a recorded or live virtual meeting. This session will provide information about your course and answer frequently asked questions. The ability to ask classmates how to access services or ask for support is difficult for off-campus students. Online orientations bridge this gap.
Online student check-ins
Our priority is to help students reach their goals. For some of our courses, students might require additional assistance, and for this we provide monthly morning check-in sessions. These sessions create a comfortable environment for students to connect with their lecturers and discuss any questions or concerns they may have. We understand that distance and digital learning students may feel isolated, which is why we designed these check-in sessions to keep them motivated and provide much-needed guidance.
Deep dive sessions
Deep dive sessions (or bootcamps) are focused sessions in which students review fundamental principles and concepts of speciality modules or subjects to prepare them for an exam. The interactive online session is presented by your lecturer and allows students to identify learning areas where they need more guidance.
